Java Developer (Hybrid)
We are looking for a Java Developer to join our small product team and build the software that runs our customers' warehouses.
Planograma is a cloud WMS: warehouse teams use it every day to receive, store, pick and ship goods, at a desk and on Android terminals that scan barcodes and RFID tags, while stock stays in sync with online shops, marketplaces and ERPs. You will work across the whole lifecycle, from specification and design to testing, release and the support that follows. Reliability matters here: a warehouse that loses its WMS stops shipping.
Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain features of the Planograma platform, from the data model to the API;
Write clean, tested, efficient code and review your colleagues' code;
Build and maintain integrations with ERPs, e-commerce platforms and marketplaces, and the REST APIs our customers connect to;
Keep the platform fast as data grows: large catalogues, many warehouses, many people scanning at once;
Prepare and deliver releases;
Investigate and fix defects, and leave the code you touch better than you found it;
Propose new tools and approaches and present them for architectural review;
Work with product, support and customers to turn warehouse needs into working features.
Requirements
Proven hands-on experience developing software in Java;
Object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns;
Very good knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM (Hibernate, JPA);
Experience with the Spring Framework and at least one web framework (Spring MVC, JSF, Wicket or GWT);
Working knowledge of JavaScript (including jQuery), Kotlin, HTML5/CSS3 and REST APIs;
A communicative team player, with initiative, an analytical mind and attention to detail.
Nice to have
Android development experience: our mobile app runs on warehouse terminals;
React;
Experience with e-commerce, ERP or warehouse management systems;
An interest in logistics and in how warehouses work.
Benefits
Attractive pay;
Certified training;
Great colleagues, and a product you can see at work in real warehouses;
Hybrid work.
